Product Update

10 Min. Read

We are releasing some exciting updates to the Assistant 🎉:

  • Highlight sources: The Assistant scrolls to and highlight the document's sentences that used for the answer

  • Improved accuracy

  • An even more powerful dashboard

  • Also: Our SharePoint integration

And, yes, you herd 🐘 right: The Companion is called "AI Assistant" now.

🪄 Show your work: Highlight document sources

When clicking on a source document, the Assistant will scroll the user to the respective pages and highlight the sentences it used for the answer. This makes it super easy for the user to double-check the information, and to do some further reading around that part of the document 📖. We are in the process of rolling this feature out to our users.

🔍 Improved accuracy: No answers no more

The Assistant uses a smart, AI-enabled document search 🔍. This search is now more accurate. As a result, the Assistant answers are more complete, and it is less likely to overlook any information in your document base.  We also fixed the annoying error that sometimes the Assistant would answer in the wrong language. 🤬🥖

📈 At your fingertips: A more powerful Dashboard

Our Assistant Dashboard is out of beta. We made numerous improvements during the last months: It is more performant, looks better, and shows more data.

We’ve added dashboards for the most sought-after metrics: track questions asked, response coverage, feedback received, and unique users. The dashboard updates automatically when filters are applied, and you can easily export the data as a CSV.

Pro tip: Filter by different teams to display their statistics in separate graphs, making it a breeze to compare team adoption by unique users and questions asked.

🔌🔌 Plug & Play: Connect your SharePoint with Elephant

Our SharePoint integration has been live since January. It enables you to  seamlessly synchronize entire pages, specific folders, or individual files. This ensures the Assistant is up-to-date with the latest information.

Setting up and updating your Wiki has never been easier — it can now be managed centrally directly from SharePoint.

We also offer a variety of additional file formats like docx, xlsx, ppt, and more, enabling even smarter answers.

And some smaller stuff

  • You can now upload zip files to the wiki. While the Assistant can’t read these files itself, your users will be able to download them anywhere. This means your can make files available without users having to deal with additional services such as Sharepoint.

  • The Assistant can render Latex now. That means it can visualize mathematical formulas for your users when appropriate 🤓
