You’ve generated your course with AI and now you’re staring at the raw output. What next?
Here are our Top 5 tips to help you turn that draft into a high-quality, engaging e-learning course.
1. Engage Your Learners' Eyes 👁️
Take time to carefully select your course visuals – it’s worth it. Good images tell stories, support your content, and make it more tangible. On the other hand, random or only loosely related images can confuse learners.

Use as many relevant visuals as possible – no one likes scrolling through long blocks of text without any visual aid. The most effective images are real-life work scenarios: they stick better than generic illustrations.
Make sure the resolution is high quality and crop images if needed so the core message is in focus.
2. Vary Modules to Beat Boredom 🎨
Our AI Coursebuilder offers a wide range of module types: Cards, Pages, Hotspot modules, Quiz questions, True/False questions, Videos, Image picker and Sorting modules.
Not all modules are AI-generated, but we recommend using a diverse mix in each lesson – and adding more modules manually (via the plus icon).

Try using a video or hotspot module instead of just cards. Replace classic multiple-choice questions with a sorting module or an image picker. You can also start a lesson with a thought-provoking question for a change.
Surprise your learners and get creative with your content and question formats.
3. Craft High-Quality Questions 🙋♀️
Few things are more demotivating than a quiz question with an obvious answer.
Your questions should be relevant, engaging and challenging – they should make learners think, not just click through.

Edit AI-generated questions that are too simple, and add your own where needed. Delete questions that don’t contribute to learning key skills and focus on the most important content.
Don’t forget to add explanations so learners can understand the correct answers and learn from their mistakes.

4. Embrace the Microlearning Philosophy 🧘
Microlearning delivers content in small, digestible chunks. It allows knowledge to be integrated into daily routines and encourages continuous learning.

Keep your course short (max. 15-30 minutes), focused on essentials and well-structured. Text should be clear and concise, using plain language. This also helps reduce language barriers and makes translations easier.
You don’t need to fit three years of training into one course. Focus on specific processes or current company pain points with high error rates. When in doubt, create several short trainings rather than one long one (max. 5-12 lessons per course). You can organize them into a learning path to create a well-structured learning experience.
5. Have Fun! 🤩
You’re your own best learner! Be creative and think about how to build a course you’d enjoy yourself.
You can also ask your colleagues and learners for feedback who can give you a fresh perspective.

Preview your course and pay attention to your own reactions. Is it interactive? Does a question bore you? Is a section too text-heavy or difficult to understand?
Even dry topics can be presented in a short and interesting way. Maybe you’ll find a meme, a fun video, or add a touch of humor or inside jokes from the company to turn your training into a memorable and engaging experience.
Who says learning can’t be fun? 😉
